the Story
of the Station Arts Centre
Rosthern SK

Small towns are known for their community spirit, and Rosthern is no exception. When the town's old CN Railway Depot closed, a group of dedicated community organizers decided to renovate the building and turn it into a local cultural centre. Today you can enjoy the fruits of their labour, when you visit the Station Arts Centre.

The Centre was renovated to preserve the original architecture, particularly the mansard roof. Mansard roofing is distinctive because its windows are fitted right into the roof. The Station Arts Centre is one of the few examples of mansard roofing left in Saskatchewan.
