Let there be LIGHT! The Station Arts Centre is thrilled to announce that we have been awarded 45% in matching funds from the Community Vitality Program in order to purchase new Theatre Lighting Equipment. The funds, totaling $8,325.00, will be released when we have raised $10,175.00 (for a total project budget of $18,500). This new equipment will pay for itself in 3-5 years through eliminated equipment rental fees. It also means more energy efficient fixtures and power bill savings! If you would like more information on this project, or would like to make a donation, please don't hesitate to contact Diana, at the Station Arts Centre. We're very excited about this project and the possibilities it generates for us. |

Thankyou!
A very big 'thank you' to Kathy Thiessen, Elaine Greve and Caroline Klassen, outgoing members of the Station Arts Centre Board of Directors, for many years of dedicated service. The ongoing board and volunteers continue to rely on their expertise and wisdom. We welcome three first time board members Lisa Hrycuik, John Martin and Jacqueline Thiessen, who along with Denise Epp, Nadine Ens, Brenda Epp, Cameron Nicolle, Sharon Kerber and Tim Castle are the current Station Arts Centre Board of Directors. This year we have three items being raffled off: A lovely quilt (of course!) called "Chenille Floral Fantasy" hand-quilted by Saskatoon's Alma Elias, a watercolour painting by Rosthern's Brian Hicks entitled "Life is..." and a framed needlepoint by Viola Born of Rosthern, "Gathering Shells". Tickets are $3 each, $5 for 2 or $10 for 5. |
Station Arts Centre Co-operative Members & Volunteers The Station Arts Centre began as a dream. Through the hard work and foresight of numerous volunteers and the generosity of donors, the Centre has become a vibrant venue promoting the work of local, Saskatchewan and Canadian artists while providing patrons with ongoing opportunities to enjoy professional and amateur music, visual art and drama. The Station Arts Centre Co-operative encourages all participants in the Station Arts community of volunteers and donors to become members. Annual membership dues are only a few dollars and entitle members to certain benefits, such as a discount on a summer theatre ticket, voting rights at the Station Arts annual general meeting, and subscription to the regular newsletter.
Working with the committees who initiate, plan,
organize and carry out the various activities of the Station
is a good way to participate in the Station Arts community.
In addition, the administrators maintain a list of specific tasks
in need of a volunteer.
