Tea Room

The Station Arts Tea Room in Rosthern is a popular lunch time destination for gallery visitors, highway #11 travelers, locals, and supper guests before an evening of live theatre or a concert.

There's something different on the Tea Room menu every day, but one can always count on

  • a choice of at least two soups,
  • brown bread made from stone ground flour,
  • sandwich features,
  • in season salads, and
  • a variety of desserts.

Everything is made from scratch in the Tea Room kitchen, and locally grown fruit, vegetables, grains, and meats are used.
Pastries, desserts, a variety of teas, and the best cup of coffee in the Valley are offered for morning and afternoon tea times.

The Tea Room, under the management of Joan Yoder and Dennis Helmuth, has received accolades in newspapers from Edmonton, Prince Albert, Regina, and Saskatoon. It has also been featured in Westworld, By Word of Mouth, and The Western Producer. Joan and Dennis are particularly proud of the feature article on the Tea Room that appeared in May 2000 issue of Canadian Living.

Joan Yoder is a member of Slow Food International Association, a global network advocating a return to the use of produce, labour, and economies that sustain local environments and communities. Enjoying a bowl of soup and a slice of fresh brown bread at the Station is to join with Joan and Dennis and many others world wide in the celebration of wholesome healthy sustainable communities.
